A 39-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested after a car smashed into the wall of a primary school and sparked a huge evacuation.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene in Everton, Merseyside, after the white Mercedes ploughed into The Beacon Primary School at around 8.30am today.
No pupils are believed to have been injured nor were in the area of the crash with “all persons accounted for”.
The woman, from Walton, Liverpool, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and careless driving, confirmed Merseyside Police.
Cops previously said that the female driver of the car was being assessed at the scene on Heyworth Street.
A passenger in the car was confirmed to have sustained a minor injury.
No other injuries were reported and no children were present in the area of the collision, said the …
