Should police be able to pull you over for not using a seat belt?
I agree with the Editorial Board Round Table opinion (April 20) that it’s a driver’s choice and the government should not intrude. Although many who drive without seat belts are potential future winners of Darwin Awards; it’s their choice.
However, it would make sense for law enforcement to be able to stop cars with children who are clearly not wearing seat belts. Children are too young to understand the unnecessary risk of their parents’ choice.
