Coast Guard rescues two stranded boaters near Hopedale [Video]

HOPEDALE, La. — Two boaters were rescued by the Coast Guard Saturday morning after they were stranded near Hopedale, Louisiana, according to the U.S. Coast Guard Office.

The Coast Guard sector in New Orleans sent crews to save the two boaters after they were alerted by the St. Bernard dispatch around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

According to the Coast Guard, the two people became stranded after their boat stopped working. A helicopter and small boat crew was sent to get the two and bring them to Hopedale Marina in St Bernard.

Officials said they are in stable condition.
