Colorado Springs police, campus security participate in bomb training on Colorado College campus [Video]

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – The Colorado Springs Police Department and Colorado Campus Campus Safety were on the scene Wednesday afternoon for a simulation of a suspicious package at the campus mail center.

Crews including the bomb squad were called to the scene to participate in shutting down intersections like Tejon and Dale and Tejon and Cache Le Poudre. Officials say students and some members of the Campus Safety were not given advanced notice of the drill to get an authentic response. Students were informed what was happening was a drill when they came by the simulation.

Those who were walking nearby were told to go to the other side of the street.
