Columbia University protest [Video]

Students and others have been sparing over the Israel-Hamas war and its mounting death toll. Many students are demanding universities cut financial ties with Israel.

Hundreds of NYPD officers acted after the schools president said there was no other way to ensure safety and restore order on campus and sought help from the department.

While some college administrators are negotiating with the protesters, others have been quick to call in law enforcement to end the demonstrations.

An encampment at Northeastern University is being cleared. Campus officials reported the use of "virulent antisemitic slurs."
