BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – To help meet West Virgina’s energy needs Mon Power has begun construction on their second utility-grade solar site.
This is drone footage of what will be the Rivesville Solar Site, the 27 acres along Morgan Ridge Road in Marion County was formerly a coal ash disposal site for the now-retired Rivesville Power Station.
That station was initially deactivated back in 2012.
The companies say they are proud to be using local union labor to transform this land into a source of clean, renewable energy for customers.
