Crews respond to fire in Campbell County [Video]

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – Emergency crews responded to a fire in Campbell County Tuesday night.

Campbell County Sheriff Wayne Barton said multiple agencies responded to the fire in the area of White Rock Rd.

The La Follette Fire Department said shortly after 10 p.m. several homes were threatened, but the fire appears to be under control. Officials added that crews have been scaled back on the fire, but extra support has been called in for trees down in the area due to high winds.

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture Wildfire Map shows 17 personnel being on the scene, as of 10:15 p.m.

Additional information, including the size of the fire, has not been released.
