HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Frontier customers say they’ve gone days without service.

The internet company says it was a hack that has caused all this frustration.

Steps are being taken to bring service back online, but not before customers have been frustrated by the lack of quick repair.

“You can’t talk to anyone at the Frontier. My phone line is dead and the alarm system can’t dial out,” said Jose Bethencourt of Southington.

Some customers can’t use their landlines, others say they’re without television.

“They did the fiber upgrade on Tuesday and that’s when they started having problems,” he continued.

Frontier says this week an unauthorized party hacked their IT systems.

The incident has been contained and they’ve notified the SEC. But certain containment measures affected their ability to communicate with customers.

Some customers say they’re not even able to contact Frontier through the app.
