PENNSYLVANIA, USA — York County District Attorney David Sunday will run for Pennsylvania Attorney General in November after winning Tuesday’s Republican primary.
Sunday defeated State Rep. Craig Williams for the right to run on the Republican ticket. He will run against <insert Democrat here>, who emerged from a crowded field to win the Democratic primary.
Current Attorney General Michelle Henry decided to step down at the end of her term and is not seeking re-election.
A member of the York County District Attorney’s Office since 2009, Sunday has served as York County’s top prosecutor since his election in 2017. He touts a collaborative approach to public safety that resulted in a 30% decrease in crime during his first term and the “lowest recidivism rate over a five-year period as compared to seven other counties.”
