Deputies warn of unofficial tax document circulating in Spartanburg Co. [Video]

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a flyer circulating that is not from the county or state or federal government agencies.

Officials said several residents are reporting that they have received a “Notice of Tax Lien” document in the mail indicating that you owe taxes.

The sheriff’s office is encouraging residents to be cautious and contact the appropriate entities to confirm legitimacy:
