ROCHESTER, Minn.- Destination Medical Center’s Discovery Walk Project, which aims to connect the downtown community and Soldier’s Field Park, is on track to finish by sometime this June.
According to DMC, who have been partnering with the city of Rochester to complete the project, there is only one block worth of road work to do in addition to landscaping, winter proofing, and additional infrastructure for the space’s planned community gathering spaces.
When it is completed, Jamie Rothe, director of community engagement with DMC, said she hopes that the space will encourage families and entrepreneurs in the Discovery Square neighborhood to get outside more and engage with the community downtown and at the park.
