Doctors rush to see patients amid uncertainty of abortion law in Arizona [Video]

PHOENIX (AZ Family) — All eyes will be on the State Senate on Wednesday as they’re expected to take up the 1864 territorial abortion ban.

If they don’t act, State Attorney General Kris Mayes said that a near-total ban on this medical procedure would take effect on June 27. It’s a date many abortion providers in Arizona are watching closely.

Arizona’s Family Investigates spent the day in one of their offices. Dr. DeShawn Taylor said it’s been a difficult few weeks.

She knows that her patients are making an incredibly tough decision that weighs heavily on each woman she sees. But she believes they should have a right to make that decision.
