EUFAULA, Ala. (WTVY) – A Dothan man has been identified as a drowning victim on Wednesday after authorities say he fell into Lake Eufaula following a boating accident.
The body of that man, who Eufaula Police confirmed as 65-year-old Will Anthony Newman, was recovered at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday after an hours long search.
Newman was one of three men involved in the incident that sent him into the Cheneyhatchee Creek on Wednesday afternoon, after authorities say their boat struck a bridge pillar.

Houston County Sheriff’s Office divers assisted EPD in the search for Newman.
The ALEA Marine Division is continuing to investigate the case.
