MILLINOCKET — Like many communities the town of Millinocket had lots of energy and visitors during the eclipse.
People from all over gathered at the Veterans Memorial park in downtown Millinocket to see the spectacle unfold.
“It’s got a great energy and just so many people sharing that excitement,” said Jill Ashey, who travelled from Aspen, Colorado to see the Eclipse with her mom.
“It’s a once in a lifetime event, I have not seen, I’ve many eclipse but not total before,” said Becky Mines from Connecticut.
“We were in the path of totality in 2017 and it was so amazing we wanted to see it again,” said Candina Butcher who travelled from Georgia to see the eclipse in totality.
Many locals say its been decades since this many people came to the area.
