Drop in temps for metro Phoenix, but heat returns next week [Video]

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A nice start to our morning with lows in the mid 60s, this afternoon we will see high temps in the lower to mid 90′s with a few high thin clouds. That ridge of high pressure that warmed us up this week is moving to the east and taking with it the heat.

We are keeping an eye out for a series of low pressure systems that will move into our state starting tonight. These low pressure systems will cool things down and here in the valley we will also see breezy conditions thru Saturday.

The great news is we will see cool temperatures thru Sunday. We look to stay dry here in the valley, but there is a chance of some moisture around Northern Arizona. Some of the higher elevations will see a little rain and snow mix.
