Drugstore sets opening date for new CNY location [Video]

The new drugstore, which will anchor Manlius’ Madison Row project, is planning to open in mid-December.

Kinney Drugs will open at 7 a.m. Dec. 15 at its new Manlius location, at the corner of Route 92 and Stickley Drive in the village.

The Gouverneur-based chain has scheduled a grand-opening ribbon-cutting ceremony Jan. 10, but the store will be open for business before then, said Kinney Drugs officials.The 12,000-square-foot store will have a drive-thru prescription window.

The project’s developer is Rochester-based Morgan Management. The project was originally slated to be built in 2011, but that was delayed. A KeyBank opened on the site in September 2012.

Along with Kinney, the project will have retail on the first floor, and offices and several high-end apartments on the second floor.
