Educators across the Triad and state are showing their support for a Parkland High School teacher who was filmed being assaulted by a student. Educators wore purple and orange on Wednesday after a video went viral on social media of a student slapping his teacher twice across the face. The protests over the war in Gaza that have gripped college campuses across the U.S. came to a head Tuesday night as violent clashes erupted between pro-Palestinian protesters and counter-protesters at UCLA and police moved to arrest dozens of demonstrators who occupied a building at Columbia University.
