WASHINGTON (WLFI) — President Joe Biden signed the End Fentanyl Act into law Monday. The new law requires U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to review and update its policies every three years, ensuring guidance for drug and human trafficking are up to date.
The legislation followed a 2019 report from the Government Accountability Office that found manuals and polices had not been updated in 20 years.
