Final Four student watch parties will be held in Gampel Pavilion [Video]

STORRS, Conn. (WFSB) – Today, it’s all about the Huskies hype as the UConn women’s basketball team will face off against the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Final Four.

Don’t sweat if you can’t make it to Cleveland, Ohio, for tonight’s game; there are plenty of ways to watch and show support, particularly if you’re a student at UConn.

UConn students are invited to Gampel Pavilion this weekend to watch the Huskies compete for a spot in the National Championship games.

The Women’s Basketball team, participating in its 23rd Final Four, will take on Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes in the National Semifinal on Friday.

Doors to Gampel Pavilion will open at 8:00 PM, and game time is set for 9:30 PM.

The men’s team is also playing this weekend, participating in its second-straight and seventh overall Final Four.

They will face the Alabama Crimson Tide in the National Semifinal the following day, Saturday.

Rival protests clash at UCLA, police arrest Columbia demonstrators [Video]

The protests over the war in Gaza that have gripped college campuses across the U.S. came to a head Tuesday night as violent clashes erupted between pro-Palestinian protesters and counter-protesters at UCLA and police moved to arrest dozens of demonstrators who occupied a building at Columbia University.
