HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Early Friday morning, severe wind storm watches were posted for parts of the WSAZ viewing area. While severe weather is generally less likely to occur at night when the warmth of the daylight hours has faded, there is enough wind energy in the heavens to pose the risk of potent storms while we sleep. Since these storms will exit the region by dawn, the risk of straight line and circular winds will end.
By sunrise all that will be left of the overnight storms will be a general shower pattern, as a cooler north breeze blows into town. That sets us up for a decent St. Paddy’ s weekend forecast.
