There’s new technology at the Utica and Rome DMVs. Oneida County has invested about $200 thousand in new kiosks that are designed to cut wait times. Oneida County Clerk Mary Finegan talked about why the new system was put in place.
“We really needed to make some changes in the Qmatic system, and that is the system that’s used to call the numbers to get people in line to get where they need to be.”
Westmoreland Resident Carol Hart was happy with the time she spent waiting.
“Going through the kiosk I think just made it more efficient. It’s more slimline.”
There’s greeters that assist you before you even get to the kiosk, and Mary Finegan says using the kiosk is simple.
