Forecast: Storm Mode 3 for Monday afternoon and evening | Weather [Video]

We’re tracking storms heading into the evening, some will likely become strong to severe. If you don’t already have it, download the free KOMU 8 First Alert Weather App. This will be the easiest way for us to communicate weather information you need to know when we’re off the air.

The threat for strong to potentially severe thunderstorms increases into Monday evening. There are still a few factors that could limit storm potential that we are closely monitoring. We will be in a Storm Mode Index of 3. All severe weather threats are on the table.

Ongoing showers have been limiting energy so far, but there is still enough to get stronger storms firing.

During the daylight hours, the main threat will be watching for is large hail. The wind and tornado threat will likely increase after sunset.
