Former Journalist, Kelly Peterson, announces her candidacy for Senate District 02 [Video]

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – Kelly Peterson has officially announced her campaign for Wisconsin State Senator District 2. During a campaign announcement Thursday, some of the points she drove home were abortion rights, support for veterans, and resources for farmers.

With her husband being a veteran, she said she has seen, firsthand, the struggles that veterans deal with when it comes to healthcare.

Peterson also said she has learned how things like PFAS have impacted agriculture and she wants to relay information from farmers to Madison as to what they can do.

“That’s one of the things I’m going to do as a candidate, and I’ve already started doing it. Is going out into the community. Getting into the districts and hearing their concerns. I want to listen to them. I want to take what I’m listening to and take it to Madison,” said Peterson.
