Former Los Lunas policer officer misfires his gun in an office [Video]

A Los Lunas police officer resigned shortly after he accidentally shot off his gun in an office. Two weeks later, that same police officer joined the Albuquerque Public Schools as a resource officer. Police footage from February of this year shows Sgt. Buster Whitley walking through the hallway pointing his gun around. Moments later, a shot went off. In the video, you can hear the following conversation: Whitley: “Sorry.”Officer: “What the (expletive) was that?”Whitley: “That was me.”Officer: “Are you okay?”Whitley: “Yeah I thought my (expletive) was out and I was practicing my (expletive).” LLPD Chief Frank Lucero confirmed Whitley had been with the department since 2012 and resigned in March after the incident happened.
