Free eye exams Saturday at Optom-Eyes [Video]

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Saturday, May 4th is Optom-Eyes’ annual “Give Back” event where the practice performs free eye exams for people in the community. Doors open at 8 a.m. and the offer is first come, first served. Glasses are also provided if needed.

“When you become an adult, the insurance is a little bit different and glasses are very expensive, so it helps,” said Kayla Ramos, who has attended the event multiple times. “It helps a lot, because without my glasses I wouldn’t be able to see a lot of things, I wouldn’t even be able to read street signs.”

“It’s just so important to give back to the community,” said Dr. Amanda Walls, “We’re just excited to be able to do our part.”

Optom-Eyes is located at 3585 Van Teylingen Drive in Colorado Springs.
