Friday night shooting marks Macon’s 10th homicide in April [Video]

The shooting happened around midnight on Friday.

MACON, Ga. —  A man is dead after a shooting in Macon late Friday night.

In a release, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just before midnight in the 3500 block of Fair Street.

That’s a short dead end section right off of Mumford Road.

Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley says 29-year-old  Rashad Reddick died after getting shot at a home there. 

The sheriff’s office is still investigating what led to the shooting.

This is the 10th homicide recorded just in the month of April in Macon compared to seven in the first three months of the year combined. That pushes the homicide total to 17 for the year.
