With The Great American Eclipse just a few days away, watch parties are in the works as people all across western Massachusetts are gearing up for the big event.

Western Massachusetts residents were startled and confused when the tremor from a 4.8 magnitude earthquake, centered in New Jersey, shook parts of the area.

The 4.8 magnitude earthquake on Friday sent shaking and tremors through western Massachusetts on Friday and UMass Geology Professor Bill Clement told us that it was a fairly large earthquake for our region.
