From New York to California, pro-Palestine protests spread like wildfire in US universities – The Economic Times Video

Students across US hold nationwide demonstrations at several university campuses over Israel’s war in Gaza. Protesters have demanded universities to divest assets from Israel and seek to pressure the US government. The pro-Palestine protests across universities have been against Israeli strikes on civilians in Gaza. On many campuses, especially at Columbia University, protesters have set up unauthorised tents to press their demands. University administrators from New York to California have moved up to clear protesters and prevent encampments. Meanwhile, several students across universities have been detained in a tense confrontation with police. New York police have arrested more than 120 protesters at New York University and more than 100 at Columbia University.
