LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — While horses will be front and center next week, dogs got some attention on Saturday.

Furry Derby Paw-tay was held at Noble Funk Brewing Company on Second Street in Old Louisville. Dogs were accessorized in Kentucky Derby-themed outfits.

There was a full bar, pizza, costume contests and more.

“It’s been a fun event, animals get dressed up, great food and just a fun atmosphere to celebrate Derby week,” Lindsey Peetz said.

A percentage of food and beverage sales were donated to the Arrow Fund, a local nonprofit providing medical treatment, rehab and safe homes for pets who have been abused.
