PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A recent report shows children in the foster care system are dropping out of school at an alarming rate, with less than half of them graduating in four years.
A bill Gov. Hobbs is expected to sign into law aims to improve those graduation rates for kids in foster care. It passed unanimously through the state legislature.
The legislation will build on prior reforms spearheaded by the Center for the Rights of Abused Children, aimed at improving how high school students receive credits they earn.
