Wayne, NE (KTIV) – Governor Jim Pillen visited eastern Nebraska early Monday morning.
Nebraska residents gathered at the Wayne Country Club to meet with Governor Pillen.
Conversations over Coffee and Donuts including the future for Nebraska families and their kids, cutting taxes, growing agriculture, and his values.
Pillen is working to get a 40% state property tax reform passed through the unicameral in several bills.
Nebraska has the seventh-highest property tax rate in the country.
He said that Nebraska is making progress on getting out of the top 10.
Pillen spent much of the morning asking for support for these tax cuts. Pillen said, ” This group was totally affirmative. Everybody agrees our property taxes are so out of wack.
