On Wednesday, the Biden administration released new rules that will change how all Americans drive in less than a decade.

The new standards will require companies to maintain an average fuel economy standard across their fleet of vehicles.

The impact will likely shift car manufacturer production to zero-emission and hybrid passenger cars and light trucks by 2032.

Some gas-powered vehicles will likely be phased out of product lineups.
