Hawkeye crowd fills Carver as Hawks play in National Championship [Video]

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – On Sunday, Hawkeye fans crowded their way into Carver-Hawkeye Arena for a watch party to catch Caitlin Clark and the Hawks play their final game of season.

Even though the team came up short against South Carolina, the energy of the fans never wavered.

”We’d love to be sitting in this same seat again next year,” Valerie Vanzee, who took her two daughters to the watch party, said.

Some are eager to see what comes next, and ready to see change in the team.

“Let’s keep it going,” Pat Rios, a season ticket holder, said. “We’re not gonna stop coming back just because of what the dynasty is.”
