Holyoke track and field team seeks public support for nationals [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – The Holyoke High School girls track and field team have set up a GoFundMe for community support to help them get to nationals.

The track and field team is stepping up to the big leagues as they make their way to nationals.

Student Yasani Thompson told us, “I’m a little anxious and nervous to be competing at this high of a level, especially with the other teams, but I think this would be a really good experience so we can push ourselves so that we can get to that level that the other states are in.”

After months of hard work and an incredible season, the four girls from Holyoke High School have now been invited to compete in the Nike nationals track and field meet in Oregon on June 14th.
