Hoover City Councilors John Lyda and Steve McClinton have been butting heads over incentives for the Stadium Trace Village project.The city is considering nearly $30 million in tax rebates for the second phase of the development near the Hoover Met.During a debate at city hall last month, Lyda called out developer Will Kadish for his criminal history.After saying he was not willing to work with a convicted felon, Lyda would not allow Kadish, who was present, to explain his past.The developer pleaded guilty to grand larceny in New York two decades ago.
