KIMT News Three’s Emma Esteb reports on a new childcare facility opening in Austin near Hormel Foods.

AUSTIN, Minn. – Child care shortages are happening everywhere and Hormel Foods Corporation is working to help combat this issue. A new child care facility called Inspired Beginnings Learning Academy officially opened its doors on May 7.

Hormel Foods HR manager Angie Bissen says, “we’re excited. We have a lot of energy and a lot of buzz around this. We’re hearing even from non parents that they’re excited that we’re making this investment in the community and in our team members to show that we really support team members both personally and professionally.”

The center is located right down the road from Hormel Foods and is open for Hormel team members’ children and will soon expand to community members. The company partnered with Bright Horizons to provide high quality teaching and care.
