According to FOX 13 News, the man shot and killed in a Seattle child sex sting operation was a former military officer.

The suspected child predator was identified as Bruce Meneley.

“New documents FOX 13 News obtained from the U.S. Military show Meneley’s official history with the Navy. Meneley enlisted in 1975 and retired in 2016, holding powerful positions in several different countries during that time,” FOX 13 News reports.

“According to the Navy records, Meneley’s last duty station was Fort Sam Houston, Texas, with the Defense Medical Readiness Training Institute. He was stationed there from 2014 to 2016,” the outlet noted.
