PHOENIX — A good Samaritan found a dog hiding in a small cutout on the side of Phoenix’s Lookout Mountain and if not for their immediate action, the dog may not have survived much longer, according to a statement by the Arizona Humane Society.
The 2-year-old Sharpei mix, now named Bright Eyes, was found April 24 stuck about half a mile up a narrow, slippery trail. The person who found her immediately called the humane society, which sent out two emergency animal medical technicians. The person stayed there until responders Tracey Miiller and Ruthie Jesus could find them, the humane society said.
“Scared but open to receiving help, the dog was given a quick assessment where she was found to be dangerously dehydrated with cut-up paws and a wound on her hind end,” a statement …
