CUSTOMERS of a major bank have shared their agonizing experiences after being locked out of their accounts without warning.
Some went without access for nine days, leaving bills unpaid, but the bank is offering a cash payment for the inconvenience.
Some customers of Green Dot Bank, a digital-only bank, found themselves locked out of their checking accounts last year.
The bank is known for its partnerships with Walmart and Turbo Tax, and markets itself as the “ultimate mobile bank of Americans living paycheck to paycheck.”
However, in August 2023, some of these customers found themselves locked out of their accounts with warning.
A report at the time by NBC found seven customers who were unable to log in and make vital transactions like paying bills.
One of these customers was Texas resident Sheldon Ransom.
