BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – 20-year-old Jayden Green looks like he has his whole life in front of him, but that is only because of another’s life-saving decision.
When he was 14, Green was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease, but now he has a new kidney.
Just last week Green was spending eight hours a day getting dialysis appointments. Now he is resting at home and starting a six month long journey of recovery.
“I would be sitting at school and it would feel like I was being stabbed in the side,” says Green.
Jayden Green says it all began when he was 14 and that over the next few years it would only get worse.
“I was just scared I was not going to wake up one morning.”
