Jayenne Elementary receives Blue Ribbon and is this weeks Davis and Elkins Excellence in Education [Video]

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – Today isn’t just any other day at Jayenne Elementary School. In fact there’s a party going on, and the theme is blue. This morning, students, faculty, and staff at Jayenne celebrated being recognized as a 2023 Blue Ribbon School. A national recognition by the U.S. Department of Education; that rewards schools through out the U.S. For demonstrating exceptional academic excellence, as well as, meeting goals in order for students to achieve high levels of learning. While today was a day specifically designated for celebrating the hard work of students; it also goes to reflect on the schools commitment to education at high level. For school officials like ‚Principal Scott Morris, he knows he couldn’t have done it himself; knowing it takes a village to raise a child.
