Kansas City Police investigate weekend shooting at the Plaza [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Police have started to investigate a shooting that happened over the weekend at Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza.

The Kansas City, Mo., Police Department says that just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, emergency crews were called to the Country Club Plaza near Shake Shack at 47th and Central St., with reports of a shooting and individuals running.

When first responders arrived, they said they found multiple vehicles had been shot into, one of which was occupied at the time. No injuries were reported as a result.

“It is a concern. We have two small children. We moved to the plaza from downtown for less crime,” said Sara Rosson, a Plaza resident.

Residents and business owners in the area agreed that crime may turn others away from the area.
