Larchwood fundraiser benefits family of child battling pediatric brain cancer [Video]

LARCHWOOD, I.A. (Dakota News Now) – Last month, we brought you the story of Kylan Lynott, a 15-month-old battling a rare type of pediatric brain cancer.

Ky underwent brain surgery in Denver to remove the malignant tumor and continues to go through Chemotherapy.

On Saturday, a fundraiser was held to help pay for the high costs that come with treatment.

The event took place from 8:00 a.m. to noon in the Larchwood, Iowa gym and included a bounce house, pork and beef bundles for sale, and a raffle for a new Blackstone grill.

“Raising my children and my grandchild, I’ve been able to physically help in any problems that they’ve had,” Ky’s grandpa Jereme Skiles expressed. “With Ky’s cancer, this is the first time I have to leave it in god’s hands and the specialized doctors to help heal Ky. So prayer has been extra strong.”
