Local college student fortunate to live her dream after cancer diagnosis [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A local college student is fortunate to be able to live her dream of working behind the counter of a coffee bus following a brain cancer diagnosis.

Missouri college student Kiley Lemasters was surprised with the taste of her dream to run a coffee bus after doctors told her she would never live to see it. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2020. She was given three months to live.

“You don’t have that much time,” Lemasters said. “No one knows when they’re going to die. You’re not promised tomorrow.”

However, Kiley believes in making the most out of every minute of every day. She enrolled in Moberly Area Community College with the dream of turning her very own bus into a coffee shop.

Now, four years later, not only is Kiley alive and well, but she is now living …
