Louisiana man accused of carjacking in Hammond found in Florida [Video]

The Hammond Police Department, with the help of officials in Florida, has arrested a carjacking suspect. On Feb. 22, around 2 p.m., Hammond police began investigating a carjacking on Southwest Railroad Avenue. When police arrived, they entered Gateway Ford in Ponchatoula where they learned the suspect, Timothy Pierre, 37, asked to test drive a car. The salesman became suspicious and took a photo of the driver, according to police. The salesman asked Pierre to pull over at the intersection of Southwest Railroad Avenue and Minnesota Park so he could get a cup of coffee. The salesman told police Pierre pulled a gun out of his pocket and ordered him to get out of the car. Pierre is then accused of driving off from the scene.
