Louisiana State Police warn drivers against distracted driving [Video]

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The Louisiana State Police are warning drivers of the dangers of distracted driving.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than three thousand people in the United States died in 2022 due to distracted driving. Louisiana State Police Trooper, Ryan Davis said driving distracted is anything that takes your attention away from driving. He said driving distracted can be and is not limited to activities like texting, eating, taking a phone call, attending to a child in the back seat of your car, or changing your radio station while driving.
