TORONTO (CTV Network) – A man was apprehended in Canada after he allegedly tried to enter rapper Drake’s Toronto home on Wednesday.
Police said they were called to the home after someone tried to gain access to the property.
The person was apprehended under Ontario’s Mental Health Act. That allows officers to take a person who they believe is suffering from a mental disorder in custody to seek treatment instead of arresting them.
It is unclear if Drake was inside the home at the time of the incident.
The apprehension comes just one day after a security guard working outside the gate was shot and taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Officials do not believe there is a link between the two incidents.
Police have not yet determined a motive to Tuesday’s shooting.
