OREGON CITY, Ore. — A man has been arrested after trespassing at several businesses and attempting to stab a police officer in Oregon City on Saturday.
Officers responded to a report of a man trespassing at the Jiffy Lube on Beavercreek Road around 12:48 p.m. The suspect, 23-year-old Adonai Gabriel-Escamilla, had been spotted earlier in the same location and ran through traffic, evading officers, according to police.
“It was a rapidly evolving situation involving a suspect that was both armed and fleeing… and he ran into a business,” said Sergeant Kevin Carlson of the Oregon City Police Department.
Gabriel-Escamilla pulled a knife and attempted to stab an officer, then fled into Gnome Grown on Beavercreek Road with customers inside, generating a large police response.
