MILTON, Fla. (WEAR) – Outside his Garçon Point home in Florida, there is a clear kinship between Dr. Sean Hollonbeck and Athena, one of his therapy horses.
He launched “The War Horse Project” for veterans and others dealing with trauma.
“We deal with kids, too. We have kids with autism, visually impaired kids. We do families, we do everybody. We do EMS. We welcome everybody out here,” Hollonbeck, who is also a retired U.S. Army colonel, described.
Now, his money will be used to fight his legal battle instead of fund the nonprofit.
“I never had a funder. That’s obviously going to change ‘cause I can’t. I’m going to sell some of assets,” Hollonbeck said. “I’m going to pay my attorney. He just told me the fee, and I’ll shut it down. I don’t have a paycheck Monday.”
