Market kicks off National Small Business Week in Maine [Video]

YORK, Maine — New England’s small businesses showcased their products at Cliff House Maine as National Small Business Week kicked off Sunday.

Makers of the USA partnered with Meet York County and Cliff House Maine to highlight more than 50 vendors from Maine and beyond, drawing about 800 people to the event.

“Being an artisan is difficult, where you’re constantly promoting yourself and trying to sell online,” Leah Bares, owner of Violette Tide Studios, said. “Markets like this where you’re able to interact and see the public and see your friends and your family and local Mainers, it’s just fun.”

Makers of the USA founder Kristan Vermeulen said events like this help business owners network with other businesses and reach a new customer base.
